ABSRACT. The Strategic Approach of Firms in a Competitive Environment. The character of this article is to show the importance of the strategic approach of firms in changing environment situations. The paper presents the benefits of strategic planning, the levels of the strategy and their content, as well as the main areas in which firms should manage their strategies. In the article it is proved that strategic approach should be engraft in the organization in such way as to maintain flexibility and alertness, and ensure that it can be controlled and managed. The motive suggests that a multi-faceted approach can facilitate the strategy carrying into action process. Mediul concurenţial al firmelor a devenit din ce în ce mai nesigur în anii din urmă şi, în plus, din ce în ce mai interconectat. Astfel, orice schimbare poate avea un ecou neaşteptat şi adeseori haotic sau chiar peri¬culos în întreaga societate. Nesiguranţa şi interconectarea necesită astăzi un triplu răspuns din partea firmelor. În primul rând, firmele trebuie să-şi gândească strategiile mult mai mult decât au făcut-o până acum.

În al doilea rând, ele trebuie să-şi transforme viziunile în strategii eficiente pentru a face faţă circumstanţelor schimbătoare. În al treilea rând, ele trebuie să-şi dezvolte motivele pe baza cărora să se poată fundamenta adoptarea şi implementarea strategiilor.1 Problema este echtă mai ales pentru Republica Moldova, unde abordarea strategică a firmelor, ca formă de manifestare a funcţiei de previziune, constituie, fără îndoială, o necesitate; cu atât mai mult, cu cât tranziţia la economia de piaţă pune în faţa lor noi provocări, iar factorii de mediu generatori de turbulenţă...
