Oedipus Trilogy
The Oedipus Cycle, by Sophocles both contains and conveys different emotions and importation through its characters such as Creon. Creon is whizz of the characters who Sophocles uses in holy order to explain the catastrophe; however Creon, Oedipus brother-in- law seems to be a different character in each of the plays. He doesnt appear much in the beginning of the play, Oedipus Rex, but in the transition of the plays Creon starts to appear more and therefore acting different. In Oedipus Rex, Creon appears a few times, but during the few times he appears he begins to shape his ambitions that he will later set and bring into the light exposing hes real identity. In Oedipus Rex, Creon embraces the qualities of being reasonable and portrays the different qualities he contains. He shows that even out in the toughest times he can be tranquillize un wish Oedipus the King who starts to rampage when he k instantaneouslys that he is the one to blame for Laios death and is hiding it from the citizens, his people.
When Oedipus cries out to be banishes, Creon acts appealing and grants him that wish, but it wasnt just because he was asked for help, but because he knew that one Oedipus was gone he could come up and rule. These are the few times the Creon shows up, but this is when he starts shaping and showing the ambitions he has to become king which he later in the other plays begins to develop.
By the end of the tragedy Creon begins to show that he is kind, responsible and is a good leader. Oedipus makes incontestable that all the little times he comes out in Oedipus Rex, he can show the qualities of King and therefore he knows that people will want someone like him.
