There is something very humourous about the title of the poem, since as a love tenor this poem manages only to show a man who never finds love because he is afraid to seek it. The direction this modern world enshrouds Prufrock is seen in the way the color fog curls around him as he moves through the half-deserted streets, and the sickly yellow color shows that this is not a healthy influence.
