They possess to relocate to while they were hunters and gatherers due to the situation that they food would move and they would run out in each certain area. While civilization was still evolving the people were learning new things about the land which they were living on. They learned that moving every few years as opposed to every few days or months was a better way to protect when it got to cold or too hot.
