Louis Armstrong Timeline LOUIS ARMSTRONG TIMELINE Louis Armstrongs was born Aug. 4, 1901. In November 1925 he went back to Chicago, where he began recording under his own name and building the nucleus work which his reputation as a major entertainer would ever rest.
