In 500 words, tell how growing up with child rearing practices different from those move in by your parents and in an environment different from the integrity you experient might have affected you in toll of your social, emotional, and personality development particularly as it relates to those characteristics you believe you acquire from one or both of your parents?
As strange as it is, I did experience differences in parenting practices when we moved to the Oklahoma city area in 1970 after my tenth birthday. My parents falsifyd to a more than violent form of discipline which was mainly carried out by my Mom. We also changed to an area without the same social outlets I had experienced previously until I joined band. I believe this change slowed my social development and as a result I am sometimes uncomfortable in certain situations until I get to know more batch.
My Dad has a more people oriented personality. I think I was a lot like him until the move. I think that his influence is wherefore I still enjoy working and talking with people. I learned a lot from my Dad and without the influence of his people skills I think I would not have been outgoing, or have been able to make friends very easily. My Mom is an R.N.
still she doesn’t have very good people skills and seems to favor her own company.
My Mom is much more emotional than my Dad. She on the nose does not seem to follow any logical suasion process. My Dad used to tease me after he adage me speaking with my Mom. He’d say “Trying to pick up your Mom again?” then he’d grin. I’d just grin back and I’d feel a lot of stress just leave. This is why I think I am more move back than the rest of my family. I learned at an early on age that there are some people I just will not understand, and I don’t fret about it very much.
